| Quaker Square Inn at the
University of Akron was created from a landmark out of Akron's past...the old Quaker Oats
mill complex. The Quaker Oats Company began here in the 19th century. Up until 1970, the
company stored grain in its Akron silos. Today, the 36 silos make up the 190 rooms of the
Quaker Square Inn at the University of Akron. The Quaker Square Inn is listed on the
National Register of Historic Places. |
