2000 CENSUS INFORMATION
This past summer, the Census Bureau released year 2000
Census data for population and housing. This Summary File 1 (SF 1) contains data on age,
sex, households, families, and housing units based on answers to the questions common to
both the Census 2000 Short-Form and Long-Form questionnaires.
The City of Akron Department of Planning and Urban
Development has prepared a location analysis with maps summarizing several key statistics
for the City as a whole. Ward boundaries are indicated on the maps for reference. To find
the Ward for a particular street, refer to the locator at http://www.ci.akron.oh.us/councl03.html.
