  • Renter-dominant areas of Akron are highly concentrated geographically. Most of them are in the center of the city and immediately west of the center city, and North Akron especially the Merriman Valley.
  • Most mid-range (40-60%) renter-occupied areas are close to the center of the city.
  • Areas with 0-40% renters are scattered throughout the city. Northwest Akron, Ellet, eastern Goodyear Heights, Central West Akron, and Kenmore have the lowest incidence of renter-occupied housing.
