Local homeless shelters (transitional and permanent supportive housing) will receive $2,640,008 over a two -year period for operating, leasing, and supportive services costs. The funds are for the continuation of existing homeless shelter services in the community, and programs target individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues. These funds will also aid battered women, young people, and those with HIV/AIDS.
