About the Gothic Building
The Gothic Building has many features of interest including an atrium, which was
essentially a precursor to the green movement. The center light lets in natural light and
reduces operating expenses, making it a healthy, efficient working environment. The Gothic
was slated for demolition, but Troppes renovations have saved it. Today it
accommodates a variety of professionals who want to work in central proximity to
Akrons legal district. The Gothic Building is located directly across from the
convention center and is part of the "legal loop" via the skywalk system that
connects directly to the municipal state courthouses located on High Street.
