| (10/13/09) - The City of Akron is reminding
water customers to consider conserving by going with paperless water billing. While Akron has been collecting and calculating customer water bills
with wireless technology for several years, it issued a reminder today for those who may
be unaware of this option to receiving a bill by mail, and returning it by mail.
The City of Akron Bureau of Public Utilities accepts
payments from water customers online or by phone.
Bill paying can be done by check or credit/debit
card over the phone by calling 330-375-2554 and selecting option 2, or by going
online to www.ci.akron.oh.us/146 and clicking
the online bill payment link.
Customers may also use this web site (www.ci.akron.oh.us/146) to monitor account
activity and register to receive monthly bills by e-mail. There is no fee to use these new
features.
Questions or comments concerning the new features should be
directed to the Akron Public Utilities Bureau at 330-375-2554.
The Akron Public Utilities Bureau provides water and sewer
service to almost 300,000 persons in Summit County including the cities of Akron and
Fairlawn, the Village of Mogadore and portions of Cuyahoga Falls,
Hudson, Bath, Springfield, Copley and Coventry townships.
