| (05/13/09) - Some Akron senior residents have
received a postcard that resembles a typical delivery notice for a parcel package. It
suggests that the package was unable to be delivered and that you need to call a toll-free
number. The card shows a price due amount in the top left corner and looks like a
legitimate packing slip. It has a tracking number, locator number, items in the parcel
contents, and a toll-free number to call.

When residents call the toll-free number, however, they are
asked for their credit card number for a "processing fee." This is a scam!
Do not provide your credit card information or social
security number to anyone. Most parcel delivery companies do not request payment or
personal information through unsolicited mail.
