Sergeant Vavro Receives
Distinguished Service Award |

Vavro receives the Mayor's Distinguished Service Award on August 5, 2008 for saving a 70
year old woman's life at a local grocery store. The woman had gone into cardiac arrest at
the store last March, and Vavro used the stores portable AED (automated external
defibrillator) to revive her.
