| The First Tee of Akron has announced that
Executive Director Vincent King recently accepted the top position at the Charlotte
chapter of The First Tee. The First Tee is a national service organization that teaches
life skills to youth through the game of golf. King has served as Executive Director of
the Akron chapter since 2002. He leaves his current position on September 30, 2005. "Vincents dedication and creativity helped us launch the
First Tee of Akron chapter," said chapter president Dr. Herbert Smith. "He has
been an integral part of the programs growth and success. On behalf of the Board, we
wish him continued success in his new assignment."
A Search Committee has been formed to select the next
Executive Director. Applications and resumes will be accepted in confidence until Monday,
