The newest member of Mayor Don
Plusquellics cabinet is Ron Williamson. Appointed deputy service director
following seven years of working for the City of Akron, Williamsons focus has been
on delivering customer service to the citizens.
As a customer service inspector,
Williamsons job took him into virtually every city neighborhood where he got to know
the city and its people well. After four years of handling virtually every possible
variety of citizen questions and concerns, Williamson took over as the divisions
supervisor in 2006.
As one of two deputy service directors, Ron
Williamson is once again focusing on delivering the best possible customer service to
Akrons citizens and he is responsible for the
citys busy 3-1-1 Call Center, the Customer Service Division, the Recreation Bureau,
and the golf courses.
A sales representative in Akron for 32 years
before starting work with the City of Akron, Williamson has devoted much of his life to
coaching young people ages 5-14 in football, baseball and basketball in southwest Akron.
Ron and his wife Sandy have three children and four
grandchildren.
