During college, Diane began her career with the City of
Akron, her first job working in the recreation division. She has held various other
positions in the city, including operations research analyst, operations research manager
and deputy finance director. In January 2004, Diane was named finance director.
The Finance Department includes the divisions of Audit and Budget, Employee Benefits
Purchasing, Accounting and Payroll, Taxation, Treasury and Management Information Systems
(MIS).
Diane is very active in the Akron community. Some of her volunteer activities include:
member of Class 16 of Leadership Akron, member of Second Baptist Church, where she serves
on the deaconess board and Church Treasurer, member of Akron General System Board, member
of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the Kent Area Chapter of the Links.
