The Civil Engineering Section provides civil engineering and surveying services necessary
for the operation and maintenance of city streets, expressways, parks, and Airport.
Those services include:

Drawing reviews from the operation and maintenance
perspective for the:
Plans and Permits Center
Planning Department
Bureau of Engineering
Typical projects include:
Full depth street repairs and surface treatments
Bridge repairs
Storm water management on unimproved streets
Underground storage tank removals and site remediation
Athletic field and court renovations
Field marking of the city’s property limits for the
Parks and Highway Maintenance divisions.
Insuring private excavations in the city right-of-way are
properly backfilled and the pavement restored in accordance with city standards.
