Civil Engineering Section
- reviews drawings of proposed construction on Public Works
maintained property from the maintenance perspective. This includes reviewing proposed
construction to be authorized by Right-of-Way
Permits (1,126k pdf) issued by the Plans and Permits
Center.
- inspects construction on Public Works maintained property
for compliance with approved drawings. This primarily consists of inspecting work
authorized by Right-of-Way Permits.
- informs parties found performing unauthorized work in City
street rights-of-way of the necessary permits required to continue.
- manages construction projects to enhance Public Works
operations.
All parties planning construction in a street
right-of-way are required to schedule an inspection at least 48 hours before each item of
work is planned to begin. To schedule an inspection call 330 375-2831 between 7:30 A.M.
and 9:00 A.M. on City business days. |
