Employee Records
The primary function of the Employee Records Office is
the maintenance and update of all classified employee files. Active employees number
2,200. Of this number, approximately 2,000 are Permanent Full-time employees. Other
functions of this office include:
- Monitor weekly payroll activity records for compliance with
all rules, regulations, and ordinances.
- Respond to various information requests including subpoenas,
employment verifications, and unemployment compensation.
- Distribute and processing of employee evaluation forms
including seasonal, temporary, probationary and permanent full-time.
- Generate reports and queries to aide with projects in the
Personnel Department and throughout the City of Akron.
The Employee Records Office also has files
for former employees dating back to 1938. These files are easily accessible whenever
necessary.
