(12/08/09) - One-of-kind specialty food items
and home-made baked goods will be on sale at Lock 3 Park this weekend, in addition to the
handcrafts available at Akrons Chriskindl Market in Downtown Akron.The third
annual Winter Farmers Market will be held Saturday, December 12, 11am - 5pm and Sunday,
December 13, from 12pm - 4pm as part of Downtown Akrons Holidayfest.
The Market will also include three local wineries.
"Everybody loves a farmers market," says Dave Lieberth, Akrons Deputy
Mayor. "Weve invited our fresh-food vendors from the summer to come back to
Lock 3 this weekend to offer gifts that will fit those people who are especially hard to
buy for. Who doesnt appreciate home-made, home-crafted food items that make
entertaining so special?"

Area wineries selling bottles of locally-produced wines include:

The Farmers Market is part of Holidayfest at Lock 3 Park, 200 South Main Street in
Downtown Akron. Holidayfest includes Ohios largest ice skating rink and the
Chriskindl Market.
