Mayor Plusquellic today hosted Akron Symphony Orchestra Musical Director Christopher Wilkins (right) at his weekly press conference, to promote this Thursday's concert, "A Lincoln Portrait," at E.J. Thomas Hall at 7:30pm. Collaborators for the week-long birthday commemoration include Akron Public Library Director David Jennings (left) and Leianne Neff - Heppner, representing the Summit County Historical Society, who arranged for exhibits of historic artifacts in the Library's Special Collections Division.
