(06/04/07) - Every week the City of Akron and
WONE's Rock The Lock continues to impress enthusiastic fans with some of the best rock in
the country. Lock 3 Park this week offers up the band Half Cocked and KISS tribute
band Mr. Speed in Downtown Akron. Fans of glam rock will feel as if they've been
whisked away to an LA club of the 1980's as Akron's own Half Cocked performs at 7pm
on the Lock 3 stage.
At around 9:20, the KISS Army will rejoice as Mr. Speed takes the stage. For
more than a dozen years now, Mr. Speed has been thrilling audiences with a spot-on
rendition of the legendary group KISS. For old and new KISS fans alike, Mr. Speed
will Rock and Roll All Nite.
This summer Lock 3 Park offers everything from classic rock, to country, blues, folk,
funk, jazz and gospel. And it's all conveniently located in the heart of the City of Akron
Downtown on Main Street next to the Civic Theatre at 200 S. Main St. Parking is free at
all city- owned parking lots and decks. Admission is free. Gates open at 6:30
p.m.
