(05/29/07) - Lock 3 Park continues to thrill its
rock enthusiast with another great Rock the Lock presented by WONE FM. This Friday,
June 1 rock and roll covers never sounded as good as hard rock tribute bands Cold Blue
Steel and Battery come to town. Hitting the stage at 7 p.m. will be the
thunderous sounds of Cold Blue Steel (CBS). Hailing from Cleveland, CBS is one the best
70's inspired cover bands in the area. Be amazed as they cascade with relative ease
through classic material by AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and more.
Not to be outdone, at around 8:30 and again at 10 p.m. Battery will play hard, play
fast and play to exhaustion, performing hits from Metallica. Hear songs like ...And
Justice for All, Enter Sandman and One boom throughout Lock 3 Park into
the spring night.
This summer Lock 3 Park offers everything from classic rock, to country, blues, folk,
funk, jazz and gospel. And it's all conveniently located in the heart of the City of Akron
Downtown on Main Street next to the Civic Theatre at 200 S. Main St. Parking is free at
all city-owned parking lots and decks. Admission is free. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.
