| Akron Police Department Receives Gift
of Automated External Defibrillators |
| American Heart Association President and
Akron General Medical Center cardiologist, Dr. Terry Gordon with Rebecca Holden and Terry
Brett at Mayor Don Plusquellic's weekly news conference February 14, 2003. Dr. Gordon
presented the Akron Police Department with AEDs, Automated External Defibrillators. Mr.
Brett's life was saved by someone using an AED on him when he was having a heart attack
while attending a basketball game at Kent State |

neighbor's life by applying her CPR training. Both were honored by the Heart Association
at the news conference. |
