Notice on ADA Compliance
The City of Akron is committed to ensuring that individuals
with disabilities are able to fully participate in public programs, services and
activities. Anyone who is in need of an accommodation from the any City department is
invited to contact Billy Soule, Assistant to the Mayor for Community Relations, 166 S.
High Street, Room 503, Akron, Ohio 44308, (voice) 330-375-2189 at least seven (7) days in
advance. If you require TDD phone service call Ohio Relay at 800-750-0750 and they will
assist in contacting the Mayor's Office at (330) 375-2345.
ADA Grievance Policy
The City of Akron is committed to the policy of
non-discrimination toward any person with a disability. Qualified persons with
disabilities may file a grievance to resolve alleged discrimination in the programs,
activities, or services provided by the City of Akron. The grievance procedure is an
informal resolution process.
Additionally or in the alternative, a person may choose to
file a formal complaint according to the City of Akrons Complaint Procedure for
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II.
