Kimberley Johnson began her
career with the City on July 7, 1980 as a permanent part-time clerical intern in the
Utilities Business Office. Kimberley was hired as a temporary Clerk I on
August 31, 1981 and promoted to a Consumer Services Clerk on May 7, 1984. Kimberley
performs a wide range of duties including explaining monthly charges to customers and
scheduling meter service appointments. Kimberley likes working with
customers and helping people. She is very productive and treats each customer and her
co-workers with courtesy and respect. Kimberley has an excellent
attendance record that includes perfect attendance the past three years.
Kimberley has volunteered for many special projects in the Utilities
Business Office. She provided input into the design of ergonomically correct workstations
at the customer service counter and was one of the first employees trained in
"one-stop shop" to better serve our customers. Prior to "one-stop
shop", customers stood in one line for service then stood in another line to make a
payment.
Kimberley is a lifelong Akron resident and a graduate of Central Hower
High School. She is a faithful member of the Family of Faith United Methodist Church and
volunteers to wait tables at church dinners.
Congratulations for a job well done!
