| GARY EDGAR began his career with the City of
Akron on June 10, 1971 as an Automotive Mechanic. On March 12, 1981 his position title was
changed to Equipment Mechanic, his present position. GARY and his wife Shireen have been
married 38 years. They have a daughter, Erin, who is married and has two children Kyle 10
and Dakota 8. GARY enjoys fishing, golfing, and spending time with his grandsons.
GARY maintains, repairs and services Highway Maintenance and Parks Maintenance trucks
and equipment. Gary works as many hours that are needed to keep trucks and equipment
operating during seasonal and year-round operations. |

GARY is an exceptional employee that does an excellent job. He is very dependable and
self-motivated. GARY works beyond his classification duties. He writes work orders,
schedules work, and orders the necessary parts to make repairs to the vehicles.GARY is well liked, respected and recognized by his co-workers as
a person that is very hard working and highly conscientious. GARY is a credit to his
division and the City of Akron. |
