ROSANNE VOLCHKO

ROSANNE VOLCHKO began her
career with the City of Akron on August 7, 1978 as a Clerical Intern in the Building
Inspection Division. She was promoted to Clerk Steno I in 1979, Clerk Steno II in 1980,
Clerk Steno III in 1986 and attained her present position of Building Permits Supervisor
in 1988.
ROSANNE and her husband Jerry have been married for 18 years. The both
love to travel to exotic locations to scuba dive. ROSANNE also enjoys teaching her aerobic
classes. She has taught aerobic classes year round for the past ten years for students of
all ages. |

ROSANNE is the ultimate team player, quiet but highly effective. Her management style does
not disturb the workflow but rather encourages performance. ROSANNE put in extraordinary
efforts to complete the revisions to the Akron Building Code. She exhibits continuous high
quality service in a positive way. When adequate staffing was not available, she cancelled
her vacation to insure sufficient operation of the division.ROSANNE identified the need to reprogram the computer in Building Inspection to
handle the fee schedule, and accomplished this task at a savings to the City of Akron. She
can be counted on to assist with quick resolutions. |
