BOB HARPER began his career with the City of Akron on
June 13, 1979 as a Seasonal Sewer Maintenance Worker. He became permanent on September 17,
1979. On July 20, 1987 BOB attained his present position of Public Projects Crew Leader in
the Customer Service Division.
BOB graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School. He served in the United
States Army from 1970 to 1973 as a Combat Engineer. BOB is married to Elizabeth and they
have two children: Amber 17 and Andrew 15. BOB is an avid collector and restorer of old
cars. He loves target shooting and fishing. For the last six years he has coached
wrestling with the Ellet Youth Wrestling Program.
BOBs duties include directing Community Service participants to
resolve community nuisance problems. These items include cutting tall grass and weeds,
removing litter and debris from Health Department ordered clean-up sites, rectifying sight
hazards and right-of-way obstructions, painting and removing graffiti, and snow removal. |
